ACE
Learning, Inc., is an art-based program that collaborates
with local community organizations to promote life learning
skills in individuals of all ages. Using photography as a
documentary process, participants explore, document, and interpret
the world around them. Students work cooperatively on projects
that emphasize four major themes:
|
|
journey through different work experiences investigating
how businesses function and what skills are needed for success
|
|
explore
the cultural, educational, and social institutions in and
around New York City
|
|
look closely at the complexity of the human experience
and a study of how families, friends, co-workers, acquaintances,
and strangers interact
|
| The Self-Reflective Moment |
|
provide unstructured time for students to explore and
reflect on their own photography skills and develop a personal
interactive community project
